Target is set to open a 128,000-square-foot store<\/a> in the Town of Firestone after purchasing an 11-acre site just north of Denver.<\/p>\n

The new store, scheduled to open in 2026, will offer a mix of general merchandise and grocery items, featuring designated areas for customers to collect their online orders.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a great example of the kind of strategic investment our Board of Trustees believes is critical to our long-term success,\u201d Firestone Town Manager A.J. Krieger said.<\/p>\n

Weld County public records show the retail giant purchased the vacant land at the southwest corner of Jake Jabs Boulevard and City Centre Road for nearly $4 million in April.<\/p>\n

It will be directly west of Home Depot within the Firestone City Centre development, which is overseen by The Staenberg Group<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Firestone and Target began conversations about this project in 2022 at the national ICSC conference in Las Vegas. Then, toward the end of last year, the town announced that it had entered into a development agreement<\/a> with the Firestone Urban Renewal Authority and Target Corporation.<\/p>\n

Site work on the property has already begun, and construction is anticipated to start this month.<\/p>\n
