Hi HubSpot!
Some users of the platform seem to be having intermittent issues with logging their replies to emails.
When replying to an email and trying to log said reply, the error appears beside the contact name: Your HubSpot account has GDPR tools enabled. To log this recipient, you must add them to HubSpot and set a legal basis for communication.
But when starting an email anew, this error does not show.
Some further information to help
- One user has confirmed the error occuring while using the new Outlook
- As admin, I have enabled the button by the Data privacy settings, but NOT the “send emails to contacts with legal basis”
- All said contacts do have a legal basis set.
- For Email Log and Track Settings, the following are all ticked
- Apply Default Log setting for all users – Sales Extension Only
- Log all emails by default
- Apply Default Association for all users – Sales Extension Only
- Allow all users to track emails and see recipients open and click on their emails
- Apply Default Track setting for all users – Sales Extension Only
- Lastly, we have listed our own domain as “Never Log”
